Introduction
Starting with exacqVision version 26, Enterprise Manager and ExacqVision Client & Server support OAuth authentication using Microsoft Entra ID for access to Enterprise Manager (EM), and the exacqVision Client NVR access. Proper configuration of redirect URIs within Microsoft Entra is required for OAuth authentication to succeed.
Problem
OAuth authentication may fail with redirect URI mismatch errors or server-side OAuth failures when Enterprise Manager and exacqVision Client redirect URIs are configured in separate or incomplete/inconsistent Microsoft Entra App Registrations.
Cause
During troubleshooting Exacq Support has encountered scenarios where required redirect URIs were found to be split across different Entra App Registrations, resulting in incomplete OAuth configuration depending on which Client ID was used.
Solution
Use a single Microsoft Entra App Registration and configure both required platform types.
Web platform: Add the Enterprise Manager HTTPS redirect URI.
Mobile and desktop platform: Add the exacqVision Client localhost callback URI.
Ensure the correct Client ID is used by Enterprise Manager and the exacqVision Client, and the redirects align.
