Introduction
In some Environments it may seem logical to deploy a second Enterprise Manager server for user and NVR management. Although alternate configurations can be deployed, it is discouraged and currently unsupported to connect an ExacqVision NVR to more than one instance of Enterprise Manager simultaneously – this will create ownership, database, and management conflicts.
Problem Scenario
The standalone Enterprise Manager server is connected to many NVRs and Operator feels this is adversely affecting performance.
Scenario Proposed Solution
The operator may feel it’s necessary to deploy a second Enterprise Manager server to help with management of the NVRs connected to the previously deployed “stand alone” Enterprise Manager Server.
Solution
This is against best practice. Instead, the root cause of the poor performance should be evaluated by Exacq Support.
