Unable to Update Camera Name Illustra 12MP Fisheye in Cloudvue or Cloudvue Manager

Description

The Illustra 12MP Fisheye IPS12F27OIA4 camera name cannot be changed in either Cloudvue or Cloudvue Manager.
An error is displayed when attempting to save the updated camera name.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log in to Cloudvue Manager.
  2. Click View video device.
  3. Select Cameras.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Click View camera.
  6. Select Edit Camera.
  7. Click the Name field.
  8. Enter a new camera name and click Submit.

Expected Results

The camera name should update successfully and reflect the new name in Cloudvue and Cloudvue Manager.

Actual Results

An error message appears:
“Error saving camera. Please try again.”

Solution

Deleting and re‑adding the camera allows the name to update; however, the customer for this case did not want to proceed with deletion.
Please attempt to re-test the renaming process to confirm whether the issue has been resolved.
