Steps to Reproduce
From the Configure System page (Configuration > YOUR SERVER > Configure System) select the Import… icon in the License section.
Expected Results
A connections is made to exacq.com and the current license key is downloaded and applied
Actual Results
An error window appears “This systems’s MAC address is currently locked out.”
Solution
LKG has a threshold on the number of requests which can be made in a 30-minute time frame. This is based on the requesting machines IP address and is limited to 100 requests. If the threshold is met subsequent requests will be blocked and this error message is displayed.
The 30-minute time frame is on a sliding scale, wait 30 minutes from the first failed attempt and try again.
In the event the issue persists please contact technical support who will work with our LKG team to resolve.
How to use Sugarlite and the SSA calculator to search for current License/SSA using either the MAC Address or Serial Number.

Solution:
Use the exacqVision Client to check the license status for the the servers showing “Not Monitoring” to make sure that they are “Enterprise”. See Required Licensing specifications listed in the exacqVision Enterprise Manager Data Sheet. A new Enterprise License will be required to monitor these systems
SSA-SYNC is a way to bring all licenses in a Batch to a common SSA end date without having to buy full-year increments of SSA.
License 1 has 47 Enterprise IP channels and an SSA end date of 2018-09-01
License 2 has 6 Professional IP channels and an SSA end date of 2021-10-15
License 3 has 4 Professional IP channels and an SSA end date of 2021-11-10
The desired outcome is for all licenses to have an SSA end date of 2022-12-31 In order to bring these 3 licenses to 2022-12-31, we need to use custom (partial-year) SSA as opposed to whole-year increments.
License 1 needs 1,582 days of SSA to bring the SSA end date to 2022-12-31 1,582 days of Enterprise SSA for 47 channels would cost $9,166.93, but we can reduce that using “Current Version”. “Current Version” brings the license to the next exacqVision version date for a fixed price – in this case, $466.00 The next Current Version date is 2021-12-14, so we compare the SSA price to that date to the Current Version price: The number of days from 2018-09-01 to 2021-12-14 is 1200 1200 days of Enterprise SSA for 47 channels is $6,953.43 Calculated as such: Enterprise SSA = $45.00 per year x 47 channels = $2,115.00 per year, divided by 365 = $5.794521 per day. 1200 days x $5.794521 = $6,953.43 The Current Version price of $466 is less than that, so we’ll use that to get the license to 2021-12-14, and then regular SSA to get it the rest of the way to 2022-12-31 The SSA price from 2021-12-14 to 2022-12-31 (382 days) is $5.794521 per day x 382 days = $2213.51
The total SSA price for License 1 is: $466.00 + $2,213.51 = $2,679.51
License 2 needs 442 days to get its 6 channels to 2022-12-31 It’s a Professional license, so that’s $30.00 per year x 6 channels = $180.00 per year divided by 365 = $0.4931507 per day. 442 days x $0.4931507 per day = $217.97
The total SSA price for License 2 is: $217.97
License 3 needs 416 days to get its 4 channels to 2022-12-31 It’s also a Professional license, so that’s $30.00 per year x 4 channels = $120.00 per year divided by 365 = $0.3287671 per day. 416 days x $0. 3287671 per day = $136.77
The total SSA price for License 3 is: $136.77
The total SSA price to bring all 3 licenses to 2022-12-31 is: $2,679.51 + $217.97 + $136.77 = $3,034.25
SSA-SYNC uses the aggregate price of the custom SSA for all licenses to determine the SSA-SYNC quantity. For this example, the aggregate price of custom SSA for all licenses is $3,034.25 We round it down to the nearest hundred: 30.34 We remove any digits to the right of the decimal to arrive at the SSA-SYNC quantity: 30 We then multiply the SSA-SYNC quantity by the SSA-SYNC MSRP of $100.00 to get the price $3,000.00
This saves the customer some money when syncing licenses to the same date. The most you can save per order is $99.99 Sometimes you can only save $1.00 – it depends on what the total aggregate custom SSA price is:
$3,034.25 saves $34.25
$3,001.00 saves $1.00
$3,099.99 saves $99.99
$3,000.00 saves $0.00
All of the above will produce an SSA-SYNC quantity of 30, which will be $3,000.00 when multiplied by the SSA-SYNC MSRP of $100.00.
When a user tries to import a server license or pick a server license as part of applying a server configuration. The SSA date is shown, but the date also includes the time of day which suggests their SSA will expire at that time.
This is not correct, the SSA will expire at the start of the next day, it will be valid the entire day of that SSA date.
The following methods allow you to examine a system’s license details and SSA expiration:
Using the Systems page (Multiple Systems)
With the ExacqVision Desktop Client software open, click the ‘Gear’ icon to enter Configuration mode.<br><br>
Select the Systems node from the top of the left-hand navigation tree.<br><br>
Scroll to view the License column, describing the functional level, and the Subscription column, displaying the SSA status. <br><br>
Optional – Use the Export Licenses button to export your system list to provide to your Dealer to request an SSA extension. <br><br>
Using the Configure System page (Single System)
With the ExacqVision Desktop Client software open, click the ‘Gear’ icon to enter Configuration mode.<br><br>
From the left-hand navigation panel, expand the node with your server name.<br><br>
Highlight Configure System nested beneath the server name in the tree.<br><br>
Click the System tab from the top of the Configure System page.<br><br>
Below the License key field is the Status, describing the system’s functional level, and the Subscription Expires field, displaying the SSA status. <br><br>
If looking up a single recorder, enter the license key or licensed MAC address. This will report the number of licensed channels and the functional level as well as the SSA expiration.
Continuing by completing the form will assist you in obtaining quotes for changes and updates.<br><br>
If looking up multiple recorders, you may upload an exported CSV file of systems, or enter a list of system serial numbers or MAC addresses.<br><br>
In the resulting table you may view the License Level for each system as well as the Original SSA expiration date.
Continuing with the form will assist you in obtaining quotes for SSA extensions or adding IP channel licenses.
Only one license key may be applied on each system at a time. This license key includes information on the number of licensed IP Cameras the system is permitted to use as well as the specific system it is assigned to.
For information on increasing your licensed number of cameras or changing your license level, contact your authorized exacqVision dealer.

Individual License Update
To apply or update an individual system license, expand the exacqVision Server node on the navigation tree along the left-hand side of the Client window, then select Configure System.
On the System tab, the License section is found to the right. There are multiple methods available to apply a license to the software.
From Exacq.com
If your exacqVision Server has an internet connection, this is the simplest choice. This method will automatically pull the most recent license generated for the system.
Press the Import button.
Select ‘From exacq.com‘.
If there is a particular reason necessary for applying a license that was not the most recently generated, see the additional options below.
From File
If the server does not have an internet connection, you may use the .KEY file issued by Exacq Orders via email.
Press the Import button.
Select ‘From File‘.
Navigate to the directory where you have saved the .KEY file to select and apply it to the system.
Manual Entry
The license key code may also be manually entered. The key code is also issued by Exacq Orders via email.
Type the license key code into the License text field at the top of the license section.
Press the Apply button.
All keys are displayed in XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XX alphanumeric format.

Batch License Update
A .KEY license and corresponding key code may be used on a single exacqVision Server, whereas a properly formatted .CSV file can be used to license multiple exacqVision servers with a single import. This method is useful for enterprise environments managing many servers.
Create a new file (using a spreadsheet program or hand written text file to be formatted as CSV) where each row contains the system’s licensed MAC address in the first column and the license key code for that MAC address in the second column. If using Excel to create this table, be sure to save as .CSV.
Select the Systems node from the very top of the navigation tree on the left-hand side of the exacqVision Client.
Below the Systems list panel, select the Import License button.
Navigate to the location of your .CSV file to select and apply.
You may also utilize the Export Licenses button to export a properly formatted .CSV containing this information for connected systems, which may be useful for keeping site records. If updating licenses rather than licensing for the first time, edit the exported file for later import to save time.
The exacqVision VMS software licenses a specific number of channels to a key based upon the server NIC’s MAC address.
A license includes the maximum number of IP devices, an SSA period for software updates, analog video channels for Hybrid NVRs, and the functional level for the software. The functional levels are:
If you have multiple NICs, the MAC address of only one NIC must be licensed. MAC addresses of the individual cameras are not required for a valid license.
A license key is valid for the period chosen when ordering. This license key includes a Software Subscription Agreement (SSA) allowing the software to be updated to versions released prior to the expiration date. Updates add new functionality and features, and may address bug fixes.
When an exacqVision SSA expires, no functionality of the software is lost. The system will continue to operate as is, but you will no longer be able to update to newer versions as they are released.
Additional years of SSA are available for purchase at the time of initial purchase or at a later time.
A new license key may be imported to expand he number of connected cameras, enhance the feature level, or extend the SSA period without restarting the software.
