No motion detection on the bottom when changing to the corridor mode for the HikVision cameras

When changing the windows for the HikVision cameras to the corridor mode, it will not trigger the motion on the bottom because it’s not supported by Exacq yet.

This feature will be supported on the ExacqVision Server version 22.03.

Samsung / Hanwha Cameras Show “Motion Not Supported”

Before being able to manage motion windows from the exacqVision Client the following actions need to be performed within the camera’s web GUI.

  1. Enable Motion Detection
  2. Create / draw detection areas
  3. Disable then re-enable the camera within the IP Cameras List on the Add IP Cameras page

You should now be able to manage existing areas and draw new areas from within the exacqVision Client

Note: It may be necessary to factory reset the camera first.

Troubleshooting Motion Not Supported

If you run in to an Exacq system where it says “Motion Not Supported” there are several camera manufacturers where you have to Enable Motion in the Web GUI of the device; as well as setting it in Exacq Client software.

It will be listed under something like Analytics>Motion or Alarms or Motion.
