Changing Kantech Smart Service name breaks Integration

Description 

Entrapass integration does not connect to exacqVision.

Actual Results 

Integration shows not connected could not connect contact integration.

Solution

Ensure the Kantech/Entrapass smart service is named ‘SmartService’ in the Entrapass software

Changes made to Entrapass connection parameters in exacqVision client are ignored

Symptom

Once successfully connected to an Entrapass server, changes to any connection parameters (IP address, port, username, password) are ignored. The connection will continue to attempt connection using the prior settings.

Workaround

Dsiable the existing connection and create a new connection with new parameters.

Update to exacqVision Server 7.2.1.85489 or higher

How do I register Onboard Kantech EntraPass Corporate Edition on an ExacqVision recorder?

Registering Kantech EntraPass Corporate Edition requires a Kantech certified dealer to obtain a registration confirmation code from Kantech technical support or from the Kantech website registration.

To setup the Kantech EntraPass Corporate Edition software, view the complete installation guide or watch this short video to walk you through the installation process.

The installation allows you to setup basic system components of EntraPass:

  • 1 Server
  • 1 Server Workstation
  • 1 Multi-Site Gateway application
  • 1 EntraPass Web license
  • SmartLink
  • 2 additional remote workstations

    NOTE: Additional system components can only be installed after the EntraPass Server has been registered. They require an additional license.

New installations of Onboard EntraPass Corporate Edition include updates to the software for a year. The Kantech Advantage Program (KAP) – available from authorized Kantech dealers – provides an additional 12 months of updates and upgrades.

Can I upgrade Onboard Kantech EntraPass Corporate Edition on an exacqVision recorder?

Upgrading Kantech EntraPass Corporate Edition requires a Kantech certified dealer to obtain a registration confirmation code from Kantech technical support or from the Kantech website registration.
