exacqVision Threshold Exceeded Message

Description 

Meaning of Threshold Exceeded Message in exacqVision. These may appear in both the logs as well as on the Storage details page in the client.

Information

This message indicates that at least one of the many S.M.A.R.T. attributes returned from the drive has exceeded a manufacturer defined threshold, and the drive is expected to fail soon. 

Solution

Replace the drive.

SMART Attributes May Not Appear for LSI RAID Disks

Symptom:

S.M.A.R.T. attributes do not appear for hard disks attached to the LSI RAID controller.

Problem:

Issue introduced with exacqVision Server 9.2.3 when support was added for the F2A chassis model using the LSI HBA.

Solution:

Update exacqVision Server version to 9.4.0 or higher.

SMART attributes now available for drives connected to LSI storage controllers on Windows using exacqVision 7.6

Description

LSI has added support for SMART attributes in the storcli utility in version 1.12.

Users can now monitor all SMART attributes for drives connected to LSI controller on Windows using exacqVision server 7.6.0 or higher. Users using a version of storcli without SMART support will continue to see only the temperature attribute.

The updated storcli utility can be downloaded directly from LSI:
