Some hard disks may be reported twice in Windows, which may manifest in one or more of the following conditions:
- One instance can indicate a storage alarm, while the other does not.
- The non-alarmed instance may be the only one shown in the client, leading the user to believe that there are no storage alarms.
- Both instances will be seen by ESM, and therefore ESM indicates a storage alarm.
- Alarm states will be inconsistent between client, ESM and event linking.
This affects exacqVision Server versions 8.2.0 through 9.9.16
