Cannot Connect to 3ware Controller Via the Webpage

You can install the latest 3ware software version to take care of this issue. Packages are availableĀ from Broadcom.

You must unzip and install the 3DM2_Software package. After installation, you must also install the WinAVAlarm component and then remove it after installation. A system restart is required after installation.

LEGACY INSTRUCTIONS

Windows update KB2585542 stops the browser from connecting to the 3Ware controller card properly. A workaround is posted on 3ware’s web site: LSI Answer ID A008219-082812.

Supporting HDD SMART Data on Third-party Hardware

When installing ExacqVision Server software, including its System Management plugin on third-party hardware, you should aim to use a RAID controller used in Exacq manufactured systems, which include:

  • Broadcom MegaRAID 9670
  • Broadcom MegaRAID 9560
  • LSI MegaRAID 9670
  • LSI MegaRAID 9560
  • 3ware 9750
  • 3ware 9650

If a different controller (or no drive controller) is used, the behavior of the system will vary.

SMART data from a drive controller is handled by Smartmontools. For more information, visit theĀ Smartmontools wiki.

Highpoint RAID Troubleshooting (Legacy)

For troubleshooting information, see the attached PDF.
The following exacqVision models were manufactured with Highpoint RAID controllers from 2007 to 2009:

  • 2310 (4 ports)
  • 2320 (8 ports)
  • 2300 (4 ports, PCIe 1x)

<br>

To determine whether your system contains a Highpoint RAID controller, look at the RAID BIOS screen that appears when the system is first started (before the operating system starts).
