Description

A range of (16) or (32) analog video inputs are offset on both the exacqVision client and the tDVR Control Center utility (e.g. Camera 33 = VIDEO LOSS; Camera 34 = BNC 35 video; Camera 35 = BNC 36 video; Camera 36 = BNC 37 video; Camera 37 = BNC 38 video; Camera 38 = BNC 39 video; . . . ). The camera names will be correct but the actual video will be incorrect.

Steps to Reproduce

The problem will be immediately evident from any client by selecting cameras in the impacted range.

Expected Results

The expectation is proper selection of all analog video inputs with matching names from all clients.

Actual Results

A range of (16) or (32) analog video inputs are offset on all clients. The camera names will be correct but the actual video will be incorrect.

Solution

The corresponding tDVR8032 board has one or more misaligned BNC rear panel to capture card video routing ribbon cables — the cable or cables are offset by a pin or two. The connectors and cables are keyed to try to prevent it but the connectors have open ends which permit this.

The impacted tDVR8032 capture card video routing ribbon cable or cables need to be disconnected, properly aligned, and inserted into the corresponding connector or connectors.
