Retrieving iOS crash logs

If the Exacq Mobile 3 application crashes, the operating system will generate and save a crash log. The user can send the crash log to the mobile team so that the mobile team may interpret them and try and deduce what caused the crash.

To retrieve a crash log on an iOS device:

  1. Open the iOS Settings application
  2. On iOS 7 or earlier open the “General” section of settings.
  3. On iOS 8 or later open the “Privacy” section of settings.
  4. Open the “Diagnostics & Usage” section.
  5. Open the “Diagnostic & Usage Data” section.
  6. Select an Exacq crash log from the list to view the log.
  7. While viewing the exacq crash log long press the log contents and tap on the select all option then tap on the copy option.
  8. Open the email application and create a new email.
  9. Long press in the email body and select the paste option.
  10. Send the email to Exacq Support.

Symptom

If an OEM is attempting to create an iOS package using the Mobile OEM Toolkit v1.3.1.85257 and does not have their iOS provisioning profile set up for Push Notifications, the OEM will be unable to submit the application to iTunes Connect.
