Integrating exacqVision with a Kantech EntraPass installation that uses EntraPass Web may prevent use of EntraPass Web, or vice versa.

Affected platforms

exacqVision 7.4 with EntraPass 6.05.02 or newer

Symptom

By default EntraPass only allows a single connection to EntraPass Web. When exacqVision is integrated with EntraPass Web, it consumed a connection EntraPass Web. If EntraPass Web then attempts to connect, it will fail. Likewise, if EntraPass Web is connected first, exacqVision will fail to connect.

Workaround

Use only one session at a time, or contact Kantech to purchase additional licenses for web sessions.

Resolution

Fix dependent on Kantech updates to EntraPass.

Kantech Entrapass Web Download Instructions

Instructions:

ExacqVision Kantech-Onboard systems may exhibit specific Internet Explorer security settings that will prevent the download of EntraPass Web from the link on the desktop after installing the Kantech software.

This was discovered specifically with the Windows Server 2016, Entrapass version 7.51, in June 2019. Other versions may encounter this problem though they are not listed here.

To resolve this, you will need to enable file downloads within Internet Explorer. (See screenshots below).

Steps:

  • Click Settings
  • Click Internet Options
  • Click Custom Level on the Security tab
  • Click Enable under Downloads > File Download
  • Click OK and close all dialog boxes
  • Refresh the page or click the EntraPass Web link from the desktop to restart the process.

Create a Report in Entrapass Web

Description

There are four types of reports available:
* Quick Reports filters events such as access, time, attendance, doors, logins, operations, etc.
* User List filters cards such as card type, card number, username, company, department, etc.
* Component List filters access levels, doors, controllers, relays, inputs, etc.
* Custom Reports schedules and automates future dates.

Entrapass Web

1.Navigate to the Operation menu and select Report

2.Select a Report type.

3.Choose filter option for report.

4.Choose a date range for report.
Save report to the computer or send to an email address.

5.Depending on the type and length of report, it may take a few moments to complete.

6.You can customize the report if you save it to the computer with local option.

7.Save it the computer as .PDF or .XLS file or print the report.

8.The report has been created.

Create a Map in Entrapass Web

Description

Creating maps allow you to visually interact with all system components such as:

relays, inputs, outputs, keypads, elevators, doors, cameras, workstations, sites, gateways and controllers.

Entrapass Web

  1. Navigate to the Operation menu and select Map

  2. Click Add button.


  3. Give the new map a name.


  4. Click in box on left side and select Change Background to add a graphic for new map.


  5. Choose desired graphic for new map.


  6. Add components by clicking and dragging them over the graphic.
    You can also add components to a previously configured Video View instead of a graphic.


  7. A new map has been created.
    To interact visually with any system component right click its icon.

Override a Holiday in Entrapass Web

Description

Holidays ignore proper access levels of all users and assigned unlock schedules of all doors.

You can override a holiday by scheduling an exception for a user or door.

Entrapass Web

Navigate to the Configuration menu and select Schedule

Select Site to schedule the exception.


Select desired Door Unlock Schedule, then click Edit to override.


Place a check mark in holiday to override.

The schedule will now be active during the holiday.

Create an Access Level in Entrapass Web

Description

The security of employees and properties depend on managing access.

You must create a schedule before defining access levels.

Entrapass Web

Navigate to the Configuration menu and select Access Level

Specify Site for new access level.

Click Add button to configure a new access level.

Give the new access level a name.

Select desired door to assign an existing schedule (cannot create new schedule here).
Click Assign button.

A new access level is now in effect after applying a schedule to a door.

Add a User in Entrapass Web

Description

The security of employees and properties depend on managing access.
You can create a new card to ensure that a user has proper access levels.

Entrapass Web

Navigate to the Operation menu and select User

Click Add button.

Fill in details of new user.

Choose Card Type.

Type in Card Number.

Define proper Access Levels per site.

Add Custom Fields or Comments by clicking on the bottom left arrows button.

Click on blue avatar to add a photo of the user.

Description

You must create a schedule before defining user access levels and assigning unlock times to doors.

The security of employees and properties is achieved by configuring schedules properly.

Navigate to the Configuration menu and select Schedule

Specify Site for new schedule.

Click Add button to configure a new schedule.

Drag the time line pointers to define range of hours.

Place a check mark in the empty boxes to select days.

The new schedule is now active within the designated parameters.Verify new schedule is configured properly.

Add a Holiday in Entrapass Web

Description

Access and schedules for a particular date are ignored when a day is designated as a holiday.

You can program a holiday to disregard proper access levels and door unlock schedules.
