Client Crashes When Analytics Enabled on Onvif Multi-Sensor Camera’s

Description

Reports of the exacqVision Client and/or system crashes have been reported from Illustra or Samsung multi-sensor cameras using the ONVIF PLUGIN when analytics is enabled.

Product

exacqVision Server 22.09.4.0

Steps to Reproduce

Add a multi-sensor camera using the onvif plugin
Enable analytics
The client will crash shortly after enabling the camera analytics.

Expected Results

analytics are available and system runs normally

Actual Results

After about 10 seconds the client crashes
There is one report of a system Blue Screening as well

Solution

Disable Analytics
Wait for the release of exacqVision Server 22.12

Event Monitoring is not Allowing the Analytical Event Source to be Created and Reverts to Tampering

Description

If you are exhibiting an event monitoring rule for analytical Event Source of any type you can not save the event rule IF your SYSTEM name of the NVR is the SAME name as the Event Source Device.

Product

exacqVision Server 22.06 and higher.

Steps to Reproduce

Go to Event Monitoring and set the rule up.

Select the Event Type: My Example is a Analytics
Event Source of Fountain Square-Donations (ext2612)- Object Analytics Any Scenario.
Select the Action Type: Switch View
Select Action Target to the device you are switching to. ST View and hit apply.
Below is the set up.

Below is what happens when you hit apply. The Event source will switch to tampering.

Expected Results

The event should be created.

Actual Results

The event switches the source to Tampering

Solution

WORKAROUND: In this example the Server name is Fountain Square. SHORT-TERM Workaround: Change the name of the server from Fountain Square (e.g. to Fountain Square Srvr) such that the server name is not the first part of any rule name. Confirmed to work.

Bosch Analytics on Newer FW

Description

On newer versions of Bosch FW analytics will not work on Exacq. Bosch FW 7.61 is the latest confirmed working version.

Steps to Reproduce

Configure analytics on Bosch camera.
Add camera to exacq server.
Setup analytics event linking.

Expected Results

Analytics are seen and are able to be setup in event linking

Actual Results

No analytics are seen in event linking.

Solution

As this is a Bosch FW issue it needs to be resolved by Bosch they are aware and are working on a resolution. They have estimated this as September 2022 but have not given confirmation.

Recording must be configured to retrieve video thumbnail for analytic push notifications

Description

Exacq Mobile 3, version 19.09, allows a user to subscribe to and receive push notifications for triggered analytic rules.

As part of this feature, showing the details for an analytic notification in the app will show a frame from the associated camera (if there is one) at the time of the event.

In order for this frame to be available, the camera must be configured to record at the time of the event. This is achieved in several ways:

The camera records on free run.
The camera records on motion, and the analytic triggers on motion-based events in its video stream.
An event link is configured on the server for triggers of the analytic rule to cause the associated camera to record.

Expected Results

Push Notification shows a video thumbnail from the time of the analytic event.

Actual Results

Push Notification arrives with no video thumbnail.

Solution

Ensure that a recording rule is active during the times when thumbnails are required for Push Notifications from analytic events. Free-run recording is the easiest solution, but this will increase the storage required for the camera.

C-Cure Integration License

In order to fully integrate with C-Cure 9000 Versions 2.80 or later an additional license is required. The license can be requested from the CCURE’s licensing system via part number CC9WS-EXACQMON. After proper application, this license will show up in the CCURE “Licensing” application as “Exacq Analytics for CCURE 9000”.

Here is an example:
