Information
When data is written to disk, an algorithm creates a checksum value, similar to a hash value that is used to compare against the data on the drive.
When the system revisits this data and finds the values in this checksum value no longer match, some form of data loss has occurred, and an ECC Error is the result result.
The disk is unlikely to recover from this and will likely worsen.
Solution
Replace the drive
