Problem:
An Axis camera may display the error “Device reporting an error, the device reported that is has encountered an error (500)” but continues to display a normal video stream.

Explanation:
This is typically caused by a camera that does not have native PTZ functions but could be connected to an external PTZ device such as a PTZ turret/mount. There is no PTZ driver loaded in the camera to support this. If a client user tries to operate the PTZ controls on the ‘Mechanical PTZ’ tab it will return an HTTP Error 500. The camera plugin will then display the “Device reporting an error” status and the status will not clear.
