Configuring RTSP Streams in exacqVision Client

VLC Configuration

  1. Open VLC Media Player.
  2. Navigate to Media > Stream.
  1. Click the + Add button and select the file that you want to stream.
  2. Click Stream.
  1. Click Next.
  1. Select RTSP from the dropdown, select the Display locally checkbox and click the Add button.
  1. (Optional) Add /car to the stream. This is how is just for identifying what stream does what as I plan to have multiple on my system.
  2. Click Next.
  1. Uncheck the Activate Transcoding checkbox and click Next.
  1. Select the Stream all elementary streams checkbox and click Stream.
  1. The stream will now show in VLC.

Add the RTSP Stream to exacqVision Client

  1. On the Add IP Cameras page, select the New button.
  2. Select RTSP from the Device Type dropdown.
  3. Enter rtsp://<ipaddress>:8554/car into the Hostname/IP Address textbox.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. The IP Camera list should update to show as Connected.
  1. Navigate to the Live View and see your RTSP stream!
