Legacy Arecont Camera Frame Rates

Description

Arecont Legacy cameras are limited to the amount of Frames Per Second they send when using Full Resolution vs Half Resolution.
Example of Cameras:
Arecont AV12176DN-NL
Arecont AV2455DN-F
Arecont AV5555DN-S

Product

If you find that the Received Frames Per Second or Decoded Frames Per Second are Half the FPS it is due to the limitations of the cameras to send 10 Frames Per Second at Full Resolution vs 5 Frames Per Second at Half Resolution.

  • Exacq Server

Steps to Reproduce

Legacy Arecont cameras can connect to Exacq Server at Full Resolution but camera is limited to 5 Frames Per Second from the Camera.
If you edit the Resolution to Half Resolution the camera can send 10 Frames Per Second.

Expected Results

When Changing the Resolution the Exacq Client will not show the change of Frames Per Second, but limit what is being sent from the camera. We will remain at whatever Frames Per Second the camera is set to until it is manually changed in the camera setting.

Actual Results

Exacq Client does not switch the Frames Per Second in our client by switching Resolution. It will remain at 10 FPS when at Half and when you move the Resolution to Full it will remain at 10 FPS but camera is limited to 5 FPS.
Example:
At Full Resolution the max Frames Per Second sent is 5FPS.
If you switch the Resolution to Half Resolution the max Frames Per Second will be 10FPS, but the Exacq Client will not switch the FPS to match the Resolution.

Solution

Depending on the Resolution please note that the Exaq Client will not change the FPS and our Exacq Server receives the FPS that the camera is sending based off the Resolution.
