  1. EdgeStor (Network Loss Recording) – NOT RELATED TO “exacqVision EDGE”
    – Requires configuration in the camera’s webpage
    – Requests video stored on Camera’s SD card
    – Video converted to PS file

    – Not a separate plugin, included as part of the IP Camera plugin.
    – Video may result interleaved in Searches (flipped, rotated, fps)
    – Not restricted by license
  2. Split core with privileged exacqd (SCN)
    – Faster startup/shutdown/remote update

    – Isolates privileged actions to a process that is not exposed to the network

Web Service

  1. Websockets gone after re-arch to ‘Go’
    – ExacqMobile never used WebSockets
    – Web Client automatically falls back if WebSockets aren’t supported.
    – Websockets may return at some point, if needed after the re-arch
  2. OpenSSL no longer used.
