iOS Mobile App unable to connect to web services using HTTP domain name

Issue

With the 20.09 release of Exacq Mobile 3, iOS users are unable to connect to web services if using a domain and HTTP (e.g. ​http://illustra.exacq.com).

This does not affect other routes for connecting to the web service: TLS (HTTPS) and IP-based connections will work as normal.

Workaround

  • Enable TLS on the web service and access via https (e.g. https://illustra.exacq.com).
  • Connect to the webservice by IP (e.g. http:/207.67.123.202 for http://illustra.exacq.com).
  • Enable the relay on the web service and access using the relay address.
